D. Erik Porter | Chairman
As Chairman of the Board of Advisors, Erik provides Waste Farmers with strategic direction and guidance. An accomplished leader with a proven track record of building successful companies, Erik founded Data 393 in 2002. In just five years, he helped build the data center’s customer base to 2,600 clients. The company sold in December of 2007. At that time, annual revenues exceeded $12 million. In 1994, Erik launched Colorado Computer Rental, the largest computer rental company in the state before its sale in 2001.
He is a 1986 graduate from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where he majored in marketing. He is also a graduate of Leadership Denver and 50 for Colorado. Erik rides the Triple Bypass every year and is a proud husband and the father of two children. He is a Community Shares of Colorado board member, a Strive founder and former board member, a member of the Colorado Software and Internet Association and the Past President and a former board member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.
