This product can replace the need for synthetic fertilizer, increase nutrient and moisture retention in your soils, and reduce the pollutants that may be leading to the degradation of your soils and surrounding water systems.
Denver soils suffer from extremely low levels of microbial activity, which is the key difference between “soil” and plain old dirt. Waste Farmers’ Compost Tea is the best natural soil amendment possible because it is so rich in natural nutrients. The Waste Farmers’ Compost Tea is brewed in oxygenated water using Waste Farmers’ worm castings and a nutrient mix consisting of sea kelp, sugars, clay, brewer’s yeast, and blue-green algae. Soil application rates range from 8 to 20 gallons per acre. This product can replace the need for synthetic fertilizer, fix nitrogen, improve soil structure, increase nutrient and moisture retention in your soils, and reduce the pollutants that may be leading to the degradation of your soils and surrounding water systems.
METHODS OF USE
Foliar Spray: Worm Castings Tea as a foliar spray is used as a means of enriching minor and major nutrients, plant hormones, stimulants and other beneficial substances. Benefits include yield increases, resistance to diseases and pests, improved drought tolerance, and enhanced crop quality. Applications are often timed to coincide with specific vegetative or fruiting stages of growth. Applications may also aid plants in recovery from transplant shock, hail damage and other weather extremes.
Soil Drench: When applied as a drench, Compost Tea will enrich soil structure. The microorganisms excrete organic gums and resins that, together with fungal hyphae, bind soil particles into structural aggregates, improving soil structure and water-holding capacity.
APPLICATION TYPES
Lawns: Grass can be sprayed using a pump sprayer.
Perennial Shrubs & Trees: Soak the ground with Compost Tea as they break from dormancy in the Spring and during vigorous early summer growth, flowering and fruit set.
Garden Plants: Regular applications throughout the growing season will improve tilth and aeration of depleted soils. Plants on garden soil benefit from direct soil application or foliar spray at critical growing points. This effect will be enhanced with periodic applications of solid Worm Castings.
